The color of the coin just looks wrong. Does anyone else agree or does it seem legit? I am trying to get better and the color just sent a red flag. Thanks!

It looks like someone used a scouring pad on it. It's only $99 but I wouldn't take a chance on it without a weight. If it was 26.0-26.5 grams I wouldn't write it off. It's a cheap hole filler.

That was my thoughts if it was real. The seller does offer returns and I am going to have to not be too picky if I ever want to get those two holes filled ( Seated dollars). Will see... Thanks for the opinion!

I need this for my 7070 as well, but I wouldn't touch this one even if it were half the price.

Fake is a generous term for that thing. It looks bad - real, real, real bad.

Yeah thought so. I didn't go on it. Was a little tempting at the price and the fact the seller takes returns. So is it the color or what parts of it show that it isn't real? Thanks all!

For me, the color, mushy appearance and the eagle's right wing (viewer's left) missing. I also see a dot right of the 9 in the date and the rim crack on the reverse at the period in the denomination looks like a casting sprue.

Compare it to this well worn genuine specimen http://coins.ha.com/itm/seated-doll...tion-071515#

Rest in Peace

You did well in avoiding that one. Not really a good fake with far to many individual problems.
