Thad says that verdicare leaves a very thin film as a protective layer so I don't think he would recommend doing anything to a coin after. And the tpgs don't notice it in terms of a details grade. I could be wrong but I'm sure he will correct me if I am

Yes , this is why I say acetone first then Verdi-Care, or else the acetone will dissolve that protectant film .
