The smear below the mint mark is Machine Doubling.

The size and shape look as if it could possibly be a double die. if the under mark was slanted? Check for any slanted mint mark errors for the year. This could be post correction doubling. I've seen similar on some Morgans. could possibly be a die chip also. Better pictures would help. I know that's frustrating to hear, I've heard it many times also. I'm sure you'll figure it out. I set my camera on the smallest size and lowest resolution. I find I can upload better that way.

It might be a gouge. The photo is too blurry to br more prcise.
