Rather, I was just happy to get a 1689 half crown. I actually can't see the edging at all since it is slabbed, and the holder is a rather old form (probably ca late 1980s-90s). sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 02/13/2016 10:27 pm See Tony Clayton's site for current valuation of British coins. vG equivalent grade (Sheldon) would be about VF25, but I do not think that Sheldon is all that relevent in this case. It has seen good honest circulation and had considerable buying power in its day. UK grade would be less than F but as it is such a pleasant coin I reckon it would achieve UK F £ all day long.
