Hey take a look at this 1960-P Jefferson in excellent condition and tell me if it what it appears to be. Numbers and letters are split serif on both sides...

The dead give away here is not only that the doubling is flat, shelf like, it is also on different sides of the devices. Look how it appears on top of the dome, yet to the side of EPU above the dome. True hub doubling cannot go in different directions on the same coin.

It is certainly worth saving so that you have an example of Machine Doubling to use in comparisons.
