This was part of a collection I just picked up and thought it was very interesting. Nice silver medal still in the original box - even has makers tag on inside of box - Made by John C. Parker of Dublin for the Wesleyan Connexion School - Commercial Medal for Christmas of 1858 - School Headmaster apparently D. McGardeg (if I am reading it correctly.)

Master was a common way of addressing young men/boys, so I would suspect it's a student. Really nice silver medal. It would appear this is from Wesleyan College in Dublin.
