Hi guys! I have in my possession booklets of old China banknotes in this special notes "holder" created just for it.

I'm just wondering if anyone here have seen/know what this is and the year created ?

I have 2 types with me, one of the holder's cover is made of leather and the other is made of a cloth like material with oriental design..

Both of the holder consist of same things ( denominations, manufacturer & explanation ).

Any replies / help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and have a great day ahead!!

here is the link to the album:

I cannot help much but I'll give you some information that you may already know.

These are China S1960s Series but the holder says January 1980.

The holder looks consistent with the 1980s period and was probably issues by the BOC. This is important because these notes are very popular and did not have many security features and there are tons of fakes.

Of course the holder could be real and the notes could be fakes but if you have trace ability on the set then it would help prove its authenticity. They are very nice notes.

You should check banknotes.ws if you want more info on the notes. As for the folder someone else might have seen it before.

The best notes in the group are the small ones with the serial numbers.

Hi guys thank you for your replies! I've gotten my answer over at some other place and if anyone is wondering,

the brown booklet was sold in China for 7800 China RMB.
the oriental design one should be the same +/- 500 China RMB

key notes are the smaller fen notes with serial.

1 jiao and 2 jiao are rare version because of the color of the serial numbers.

have a wonderful day ahead guys! cheers!
