I was reading on another site about their being a Type 1 and 2 version of this coin. Light shading on the flag is type 1 and the dark shading is type 2. Has anyone else heard of this?
Rest in Peace

Oh, thank goodness. I didn't realize I was in the Canadian forum.

For a moment I was in dire fear that the U.S. was following your RCM example of hand painted jewel encrusted reverse proof gold plated individually signed tree shaped NCLT.

@timnic44. It's been mentioned a few times here that people have noticed in the 6-packs ordered from the mint, the depth of colour can be somewhat inconsistent. I noticed that was well, it's as if the paint applicator had a flow issue. That's probably what you're referring to although that would make it more of a production problem than a "type" but it wouldn't surprise me if they were being sold as such in an attempt to increase value. The thing is it's not just one or another, there's levels of shading in between but overall the difference is not very significant.

Yes, some dealer claimed the dark ones are less, which may not be true. I saw the dark ones quite often, among the colored ones.
