I assume it's a teeny, tiny coin? People generally don't fake those - the makers of "tourist fakes" want big coins that attract the tourist eye, and the makers of numismatic counterfeits usually go for coin types popular with collectors.

It is, of course, impossible to say whether something is "fake" or "real" or "neither", without identifying it properly. Did it come with any ID information?

Very difficult to say from the pictures. It appears old and also appears to be a coin but beyond that I don't see enough detail to say what it is. I tried to enhance your pictures some but that didn't help either. If you can take some clearer pictures and give us an idea of it's size and weight that may help.
