i found what appears to be a gold plated Buffalo nickle not to long ago, the yellowish color is definately not spray paint or toning, so I'm assuming its gold plated. If it is indeed gold plated would it be worth more than any other 1935 buffalo?

It's worth only the melt value of the gold if it's just a plated nickel, and that wouldn't be much. The mint is making a new solid gold $50 coin that looks almost like the nickel, and that's worth around 800 dollars.
