It is called an encased postage stamp,that's all I can remember. I like it.

They where invented by John Gault of Boston in 1862. Due to the coinage shortage during the civil war, they had the added benefit of being able to have advertising on the back of the brass case. The one and only problem was there cost they were expensive. Couldn't compete with the Civil war tokens. Some where used as biz cards like the one you have during the 40's and 50's.
In recent times some modern ones used as adverts and cheap jewelry

I think that 3 cent Lincoln was issued in 1926?

As mackwork indicated, the above encased is a 20th Century iteration of the original 19th Century encased postage tokens.

Here's a similar one that Heritage offered:

Luther was a very active stamp dealer for many decades through the 30's and 40's. He wrote a number of books and pamphlets up into the 1940s, especially in the Revenues genre.

Several of his pamphlets are still quoted today. I purchased his Ohio Revenues collection many years ago.

Many of the Ohio SCRIP remain R-10 Unique up until today.

The guy could always make you laugh.
