Anyone want to marvel at a nice 1948 Canadian dollar? My local coin shop received a very nice collection last night and I got the privledge of taking this bad boy home for some better pictures... All you guys get is my iPhone pictures right now...

If you have a dollar or half collection and you are missing some key dates, I guarantee my local guy has them... And in my opinion, they are all gorgeous!!

Alright AgHoarder, keep the drool off my nice coins!! This isn't even the prettiest! There are all three varieties of the 1947s and one is even a proof... And I found a 55 with 1 1/2 lines and the die break... There were some gems in the bunch!

I believe it is a proof and not a specimen... They made proofs that year I think but I am going off a world coin catalog and I don't have a lot of Canadian reference materials...

Even a low MS in a 1948 is a great coin...

That's not yellow scum... That's a reflection from the ceiling light in my dining room... This dollar is ALL mint luster! But it is scratched

Lots of marks but well struck.
A rather pedestrian money coin.
Bring on the '47's
They sound interesting

I agree with DBM, MS62 all day. Look's to be a clean coin and should grade no problem both NGC and PCGS.
