This coin has me a bit baffled as far as grade and the coloration. The obverse toning is so colorful I wonder if it is AT. The reverse looks natural to me. What do you think?

I'd say it's unintentional artificial toning. That is, the coin wad placed on/in some reactive element on the obverse that turned it into the way it looks now. The reverse was only partially affected, most likely because another coin covered that spot during the toning process.
