Jon Sullivan just posted this message over in the ECIE.

"This seller is using 2 of my coins' photos here on ebay, and he does not own or posses the coins in the photos. I contacted ebay, but I'm not sure if they'll do anything in time."

Bid on it and you will make 1 cent out of this auction if you win.

Did anyone else notice the question the seller received (and foolishly allowed to be published on the auction page), where an eBayer asked him to end the auction on the 10th and complete the transaction outside of ebay?

eBayer goodoldboy2011 (Jeff) wrote to seller jeetendra96:

Quote:
Is there a price that you would take for the pair of errors you offered, to close the auction and sell privately? Might have a buyer for these if interested, just let me know your price. Thanks, Jeff

A: The price would be $1000 and I will sell it to anyone with the 48 States Only and will close the auction On 3/10/16.

I wonder if Jeff wired jeetendra96 the thousand bucks outside of ebay, and then jeetendra96 relisted the phantom error looking for yet another sucker.

Regardless, ebay now has documentation that goodoldboy2011 and jeetendra96 were conspiring to avoid ebay's fees on a thousand dollar transaction.

I wouldn't buy anything on ebay if the seller didn't offer returns.
