While searching through my 80's mint marked cents for RPMs I came across this little guy. He is a bit rough around the edges, but it is still a MMS-012. For those that do not know what it is, this is mint mark number 12 for the Denver mint. It was intended for use in 1988 and 1989, but somehow made it onto some 1987. This would be classified as a transitional variety. Much like the famous RDv-006 everyone looks for on 1988 cents.
