Early slot machines/cigarette machines and penny gumball machines where around between 1865-1949. They even had coin op phonographs, candle stick pay phones and flip card shows. Has anyone heard of one of these machines that took NFLD coinage?

Once they went to the smaller coinage, I would imagine that the mechanical innards took all coins and slugs the same size as Canadian or US ones .. Newf stuff would have been no different, even the large cents.
