i have posted this coin before but only using the horrible images by the seller. I have taken pics to show the true texture, depth and layering of the strike through it self..very cool indeed. enjoy

Nice error PL dollar there thedollarman.
Too bad about the attribution.
Quite a wide area covered,
there is a depth and texture to the
struck through area. What got in
between the die and planchet? Cloth?

it looks kind of fibrous so my guess would be some kind of fabric that over lapped on itself or perhaps a piece of card board..but I'm not sure.

Very cool, too bad ICCS didn't put the reverse at the front That makes it nearly impossible to display and appreciate this coin without picking it up and playing with it.

yes, but at the same time I am glad they kept the standard that they treat all coins with of putting obverse facing out. every time SPP-Ottawa sees this one he says I should take it out...i probably will. maybe send it off to CCCS in the future.
