The reverse seems to have some parallel ridging where as the obverse dosen't show any. I would say PMD with perhaps small metal saw of sorts. If it was struck this way there would be no evidence of ridging from the flat area of the field on the die. IMO.

If that happened before the strike, you would see a loss of detail at the void. Id say PMD... Likely a band saw as it can make precision cuts that are very thin.
