I am hoping that this is a real DDO - I first noticed the thickness on LIBERTY and went from there. It sure looks different from what I usually see so I am hoping I am seeing this correctly.

I started to (like I always do) and usually find my observations incorrect, so I decided not to drive myself crazy until a had confirmation that it was a DDO frist.

I am absolutely the worst here on the forum for DDO and DDR (you have had an amazing good luck streak :) congrats). I still just don't have the eye and or proper USB scope for picking them up. Everyone here on the forum has had to build up a high level of tolerance and patience for my posts on the DDO / DDR variety.

My thought is that it is WDDO-005 (but like I said I am the worst)

Wow, that is great - I was still writing you back when you already replied with wexlers, I am glad you picked that one out as well. I have some pictures that I can post of the die markers I had located.

John mentioned that the bottom coin in my first pic was a DDO. I have that one as well so I will make a new post - but I just don't see anything on that one.

You are so lucky that you have been able to learn how to identify them. I have probably tossed many good ones back into the mix.

It's confusing, but I think John was saying the bottom coin as in, the one lower than the other in the picture. The bottom is then the Top and the Top is the bottom

Nice find though CoinCents! I recently found WDDR-005 too which was very surprising since I live in CA and that was the only 2011P in the whole box. On Copper coins it's 2011P-1DO-006, check the die markers:
http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=mds

I found the best die marker to be the die dot in between "OF" and "AMERICA"

No crack in the hair
No crack on the shield.

So maybe not a DDO or possibly a new one.

That's definitely a DDO (extra thickness + see the slight split on the bottom of "RTY". The coin doesn't need to have all die markers by the way since the markers depend on usage. Do a search on coppercoins.com for 2011P DDO and for each coin click on "Marker photos: EDS/MDS." If you come up with nothing, look for any markers on your own. Any die dot/break/crack and let us know. For example: is that a die crack on the bottom of the 'E' in "CENT"?

With so many pics it would help if each pic was labeled. Even putting #1 or #2 by each pic would help,IMHO.

Dear COINCENTS, You finally saw the light! Congratulations on a great find! I know how frustrating it is to learn how to identify the DDs when they're close. I can see the wide spreads but after that it's tough. Hopefully you'll get that stereo scope. From what I've read on the forum the difference is like night & day.
Have you ask here if anyone has an older stereo microscope? I don't have one or I'd let you use it. I'm still looking for that 1st DD. Keep up the good work & luck be with you!
