A 0.44 mm coin would need a 20X (or more) microscope objective to get a decent whole-coin image on a APS-size sensor. The stack increment would probably be just 1 micron. It would be interesting to see a sharp image of one of these coins. |

Won an auction with 40 coins in it last year and was surprised to find an 1822 1d and an 1822 2d Maundy money. Also 2 Annas.   Edited by bandsdean
