Hi All

My first post to this part of the board. At work today I had to purchase $1s from the bank. They gave me "new" ones. As I was breaking them into groups of 25 and wadding them up to make them easier to handle I spotted a star. When I looked closer there were 7 star bills from 1974 serial #s G02795967 thru 5973. They appear to be uncirculated. One bill (5972)has a minor bent corner. Also, there seems to be a small amount of excess ink at top and bottom of the bills (some worse than others).

I'm not a collector of star bills but I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what I have, if anything other than just $7.

As I have a low post count I'm not allowed to do trades (if I understand it correctly) but at some point in time when I am allowed to do so I might consider this so the bills could be owned and appreciated by someone who does enjoy star bills.

Looking forward to seeing some replys

I wouldn't price it for more than $30-$50. However, excess ink is a good thing on bills though. It would mean it's an error. However minor ink errors run for the least amount of money of all bill errors and some are so small they don't fetch a premium. I'd have to see these notes to tell.
