Thought I would share a medal I found. This 1912 fair medal was found while metal detecting in Cincinnati. The A & M colored Association medal. I contacted the University of Kentucky archives & they stated this medal was from an African American only fair that was held in Lexington Ky. Sept 10th-14th 1912. The horse represents that this medal was given to a person that was judging the horse competitions. They sent me a link to the fair program, judging criteria etc. They did not have any images of medals from this era.

Cool "museum quality" piece, given its interesting history!

Here's a properly oriented pic of the medal for easier viewing ...

Is there a reverse maker's mark?
