Looks like it could be a smaller font repunch on the E. Or repunched high at the bottom and then low at the top with the punch tilted both times. Its unusual anyway.

Double stem to leaf 14. I'm trying to remember which variety has that. I don't think Dr. Haxby references that doubled stem in his catalog, but I think it has been mentioned on this forum in the past.

That was Houndog Bill referencing I2 which was doubled on stem 12. Maybe this is a new reverse Fourmack! Is that what you mean by " is it or isn't it." I'll keep checking the catalog to see if I can spot it.

I think my eyes are playing tricks on me. That may be the lighting making it look like a double stem. I get excited when I think I see something new.

PC59-201. ( 20+E22 ) That was a tough one. Repunched R of GRATIA is the best marker on the obverse. Had to go to comparisons of Leaf 9 stem to get the reverse. This is an early state, before any die cracks.

I would place this coin in my tough to figure out box.
Haxby 201 is a strong consideration, but I would have to
study the coin in hand to render a positive attribution.
Hopefully Dr. Haxby will be able to furnish more definitive
photos when he updates the site.
