I have this one coin I have not been able to pin down. Perhaps it is not a coin at all. As close as I can place it is Prussia circa 1888.
The front says its Kaiser v. Prussein, but the mint mark is W (wurtemberg?)

The back appears to be blank except for a small star and what appear to be someone attempt to solder something to it.
Take a look at the pics. would love to hear your comments.

Fancy button. The back side is clearly that of a button.

I suspect the W is (part of?) the mark of the manufacturer.

I'd also say that it is a button. Due to the fact that Friedrich III. was emperor of the German Empire for only 99 in the so called 'Dreikaiserjahr' (Year of the three emperors) it could've also been crafted shortly after 1888 because memorabilia for him were quite popular that time.

Nice piece of history.
