See pics. I have numerous coins from a new roll I was looking at tonight that have this strange texture patch on both obv and rev. It's not something ON the coin, it is part of the coin's surface.

On this particular coin, the shape on the obv resembles the shape of George's face. On the rev, note the shape as well. Any ideas/opinions? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: (32) out of (40) in the roll has this surface feature.

I have run across a few as well, they are Struck Through Grease/Debris which is what makes the surface rough. You have a real nice one there, mine were only some smaller patches on both sides. Nice find

A bit of a Greaser. A little common on State Quarters, for some reason.
