I pulled this from a roll, and at first I thought it was a proof. However, it lacks an "S" mintmark.

It's rather shiny and well struck.

Thoughts?

It may be coated with epoxy/resin? That's my guess.

Coat with something, PMD. I wouldn't waste acetone on it.
