The 1909-o half eagle is so valuable that many forgeries exist where an o was added or a d was altered. Report this Post to the Staff

For a coin in this condition, I agree the mintmark should be obvious and it's not. Forgery is an interest of mine, and this specimen may have been altered in some way.
