Find out if there were outdoor theaters in your area. Their concession stands are silver mines.

You might want to have some fun with local history. Visit your local library and ask to see the section on the local history. If possible, find and speak with the local historian of your town. Beside learning a bit about your hometown, you can use photos and questioning to learn where old concession stands were, bath houses by the local swimming hole, or just about anything. As noted, with a little work, you can find silver mines! Or gold (dropped necklaces, rings, etc.)!

Nice but don't be just satisfied with picking up clad . If you hunt the really old places ; there is plenty of silver out there . Good luck .

One of my favorite digs, 1924 Peace dollar, I dug within 20 feet of a concession stand that dates back to the early 50's. Just never know -

Next up is the Rodeo grounds just north of the ball field may be 20 years older than the ball field. Think they sold beer there also, so could be productive. Webekin

Worked the concession stand again late today, 86 degrees, when I started and 85 when I quit 2 hours later. Today I worked the south end of the bleachers to the concession stand window, then the north end and west end of another set of bleachers the 2 sets form a funnel from the cocession stand to the 2 sets of bleachers. Found 4 quarters, 3 dimes, 1 nickel, and 7 pennys. Lots of fun, and excercise. Webekin

Yeah, I wouldn't be able to hunt so much for so little reward. You have more patience than me.

Well I do understand the patience thing. Have had a hip replacement, and the opposite knee done, still over weight, but the excercise is good for me. When I started in spring of 2015, I had trouble getting down and more getting up, used a bucket to carry my gear, and leaned on the bucket with the left hand, and used my digger in the right hand to help push myself up. Now by hunting regularly I can get down and up unassisted. SomedAY I WILL get permission to hunt where there is silver, until then clad will have to keep me interested. I also coin roll hunt half dollars. Webekin
