O came across this quarter thats missing the "e" and "t" in "In God we Trust". Could it be an error?

Since it does not appear to be damaged, you will be informed the die was filled with grease at the letters in question

The die that struck your coin was clogged with grease, resulting in a coin with missing detail. If your coin was in better shape, it might have been worth a few dollars.

Yeah this is a grease error. I have a few of them myself. Even thought it's in bad shape, I would keep it anyway, I think they are cool!
