I love the 3 cent piece. So tiny, yet so personable.

The circle over the middle 'I' is just dirt, no damage.

I like it, need to pick one of these up for my 7070. Sorry couldn't tell you the grade, I've never graded a 3CS before.

Can the green marks on the reverse be PVC damage? Up close it doesn't have much texture or gloss at all, and cannot be felt. It just looks like green paint with no underlying surface damage.

Could be pvc damage, but looks closer to turning into verdigris at this point. Have you tried acetone and/or Verdicare? Hard to grade, photos are a bit bright/washed out.

I haven't touched it yet but perhaps I'll try acetone. Is regular nail polish remover good enough or does it have to be pure? My daughter has bottles of that stuff.

Pure is recommended.

I assume that is basically what NCS does and does not qualify as "cleaned"

I'd guess Verdi-Care would be more effective than acetone.

Well I soaked it in nail polish remover which is all I had in the house. Nothing happened. Last time I used the remover for real PVC damage it came off in seconds, so this must be something else.
