Do not own this coin -- looked cleaned and unnatural. But then I saw the die state. This thing is wrecked. Cracks, Cuds, chips, not one but two field breaks on the reverse, major clash on the obverse. Seller states XF - I think that's really more like VF+ Details -- but wanted to get CCF's thoughts, as well as just highlight this coin's issues; I've seen many LSD's but never one from dies this severely worn.

Yeah, those dies were a mess. I'll bet they came out of the press in pieces. It would be nice to find a better example as this one has been abused as noted. I think it may be technically EF details based on a soft strike caused by the field displacements but I would still be tempted to call it VF details myself.

Also, toss clashed into the mix of descriptors.

I thought the field displacement on one of my 1921-D Morgans was bad but this is far worse. I guess the same New Orleans coiners who were butchering Morgan dollar strikes weren't concerned about dimes much either :P

lots of Cud and cracks which makes it super cool. Can you get it for a reasonably inexpensive price?
