Please Help Me Identify This Coin - Coin Community Forum

johnno42000 New Member United Kingdom 6 Posts	Posted 04/23/2016 08:40 am Hi All, I have this coin which I suspect may be a medieval Scottish coin as I know some of those coins did have a cross with four stars. The obverse shows a cross with a star in one quadrant. The reverse shows a lion (I think). It looks like it is made of silver. I cannot make out any writing. I do apologise for the poor quality of the photo's but my good camera is knackered. It is a very small coin (13mm about half an inch) but may well have been clipped. It looks very similar, my guessing Scottish just goes to show how far off the mark a cross, a star and a lion can lead you..I am certainly not Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes when it comes to investigating coins :-) Thank you so much for your help.
