This nice medal appears to be made of silver and apart for the suspension has a diameter of 30.42 mm and weighs 19.66g.

The obverse has a shield around which is inscribed "EASTERN COMMAND INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 1952 100 METRES FREE STYLE (BOYS) WINNER"

Beneath the swimmers on the reverse, the words "STERLING SILVER" appear incuse.

The incuse edge description reads "L. R. HOBBS GRENADIER GUARDS".
