I went over to a friend's house, and this was one of the coins he got from his work. you can't see it too well, but it has some cameo on the face. What do you believe it would be graded :)

Hmm,the hairline scratches on it I believe are from him keeping all of his nickels in a bucket together, I think they might just be the same as when you take a coin out of a mint bag? Not too sure. Do you agree with the cameo aspect? Or can you see the cameo in the pic?

I agree with purelywasted.
Those scratches do not look like bag marks but more consistent with cleaning.
Cannot see any cameo from those pictures.

I think the "cameo" that you are seeing is how light bounces off the disturbed/cleaned surface. I have a few nickles with the same appearance.

Look between the letter "GEORGIVS", you can see the nice undisturbed surface (protected by raised letters) vs.the cleaned surface, I think that is one of the easiest ways to tell a cleaned coin.

Darn, don't even know why someone would try cleaning a steel nickel :( thanks for the insight. And yeah I see the cleaned surface. Back to the drawing board, time to look for a different 1945 with cameo to go with my collection of cameo nickels
