I'm sure this is probably too late by now but DO NOT OPEN THE ROLL!

If you want to have the coin slabbed send the entire unopened roll to the TPG. That way they open it an can slab it as a blank planchet Adams dollar. If you open it then it is just a blank dollar planchet The difference is probably about $50 in value. In fact if you open the roll the value drops low enough that it isn't worth slabbing unless it does have a lettered edge. And f you choose not to have it slabbed you could probably get more for it on ebay in the unopened roll than just as a single blank planchet.
