Can anyone tell me about this coin? It has a mistrike I believe. It's a half crown. It has the English and Scottish shield across each other underneath the date. Anyone know if it's worth anything? It has a letter 'B' underneath the head with faded writing on the edge.

This appears to be a 1707 Queen Anne Half Crown with what should be a mintmark "E" below the bust (not pictured; not supposed to be "B") for Edinburgh, Scotland. The reverse was double struck with about a 135 degree counterclockwise rotation which messes up the "17" of the date. What the edge says is important to its value. Can you tell what the edge letters say?

Hi pistareen. Sorry the picture isn't that clear. It is in fact a 1697 coin. The edge of the coin is hard to make out. It's pretty worn. I believe I can see 'NONO' and what looks like 'AMEN'. I believe this is William III half crown. I think the 'B' is for Bristol.
