How do they perform with low mintages but loe demand because si expensive. Just wondering a popular series but not too popular coin because of size. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yeah, I don't get why they even make them. Is there that much demand for a $10k massive coin that's really bullion with a huge premium? Stick to the 1 kilo or less ones. I have the lunar horse series 1 kilo, 5 oz, 1 oz & 1/2 oz. Sure I'd like a 10 kilo but wouldn't even think of buying one unless I was so well off that $8-10k was pocket change. Hope this helps

I actually considered buying a 1 kg silver commemorative coin once, about the Akershusfestning being 700 years old. When I held the capsule I felt that this one wouldn't fit in any of my albums, so I let it be.

(anyway, the medal was also much less interesting in real life than I expected: a big surface but not much done with it).

There is a reason why they only minted 15 x 10kg coins.

Even the mint knows this coin has a very limited market to move in.

The keenest of die-hard African Elephant collectors would be shaking their heads in disbelief at this one.

At that weight, why not silver bars?

If you can afford to buy one you can afford to hire someone to carry it for you!

the real large buyers get sick of the same old bars and coins so they like to change it up....i think all the 10 kilo coins that the Perth Mint makes are $$$$ in the bank. they only mint them at a request of a dealer. so you would have to go look at previous years mintage records to see whats good.

hope this helps
