Just watched a short on TCM called The Million Dollar Nickel - 10 mins of war time propaganda and strange, but when I tried to find it online I came across another short film of the same name ... enjoy!

Have any of them ever been missing? Note that he speaks of the "Buffalo Nickel, which we still have", so it is set pre 1938.

The 1913 liberty head nickel being my dream coin, I found myself identifying with the antagonist. Disturbing.

So the one that showed up in 2003, was that a 6th one? All 5 were owned by Col Green and I doubt any of those went missing, so what is the one that surfaced in 2003?

That's the Walton specimen. It was recovered after a car crash, but the family was told it was fake, so they left it in a drawer for 40 years or something like that.
