I see what you are looking at. The cent on the left has it's lobe rounded at the bottom and the one on the right is pointy and longer. Is that what you are seeing?
Thanks for the responses. I will try to get closeup of ear shot. Coin on the right has a definite seperation of the lobe. Just something I spotted while doing my daily coin inspections. Maybe I can find another one of these to support the theory.
If it is that little depression on the earlobe, it is not a doubled die. I see that quite often on cents. It's just a small nick. It may have something to do with how the coin ends up counted and rolled.
