It was covered in green copper oxidation so I used the industry methods to carefully clear it a bit before taking pictures.

55 grams
4.5 cm in diameter

Fake or genuine?
And estimated value?

The genuine one in the link you've posted is a coin in superior excellent condition. And you're right, it do look strange in comparison to the 1769 coin.

The 1781 genuine coins do look similar as mine though. At the same time so badly condition it has similarities to the fakes.

Looks siberian. I don't know what cleaning does but I'd estimate $100 retail.

Ok, "cleaning" wasn't meant in purpose to gain any "value", but to state the amount of copper oxidation was real. You could'nt literally estinguish what coin it was before. Like it has been buried and scraped since.

Anyhow.. Using it as paperweight from now on, thanks for clearing everything out.

Don't worry about cleaning to increase value. According to some on this forum here's it's "not done" and certainly not a way to increase the value of a coin, but more or less the opposite. :)

Anyway, nice find! Seems legit to me. I have no specific indication about value though, as I don't trade much in Russian coins.
