The internet is making people into knowitalls and we as coin people know never to buy the holder/slab, we buy the coin. We look at the item in hand and it should be like that for anything. You wouldn't buy a home or even RENT without seeing the property first, so why is gold any different. I have to be able to weigh it, cut it, melt it, etc. I think that there is a sick habit with "stackers" that you just buy it and hold it for investment purposes, and that's where people get burned because they don't test it and they rely on the slab to tell them what it is they spent hard cash on. People need to wise up and know what they're buying and why they're buying, or China and internet hockers will just rip us off into the next century. Report this Post to the Staff

Here is the exact letter I got back from Perth Mint for CertiCard Security Case 1 oz. Assay Cards. Holds true for 5 gram, 10g, 20g also. And I quote the Senior Customer Services Officer. Quote: "The bars with the wording CertiCard Security Case on the front do not have a 'letter' in front of the bar number on the back.These cars [sic cards] have the letter A in front of the number.
