Picked up a 1869 Nickel 3 cent coin with RPD.
Obvious under magnification.
I have heard of the 1869 Silver version.
Anyone heard of a nickel variety of this?
Will post a photo later.

There are dozens of varieties for the 3-cent nickels. The diemakers were always rushed to make new dies, so quality control was always an afterthought.
