When new coins are issued out to the Banks and you can go purchase them, does anyone out there know what the Banks distribute 'out', as far as the coins minted from Denver, Philly, or San Francisco? Who gets what?

S Mint coins are not distributed to banks for circulation. It is difficult to figure out the rest. I've found here in the Mid West we usually get all D Mint coins for a long period of time. Then later in the year the Philly ones start to appear but are usually worn from circulation. makes no CENTS to me since we are close to Philly. I've heard of similar situations from people in Arizona telling me they always see the Philly ones first and the Denver coins much later in the year and also worn.

I live in New Jersey, so most coins that I get are P mintmarked. S coins are proofs, so banks don't get them. At the beginning of the year (like it is now), that year's coins are very hard to find until around late April/early May. For cents especially, coins from the 80's are the most common.

I live in Kansas City. When I pick up a new roll of coins, they are always D. Except when they first released the George Washington dollar, the bank had P's. So now I've got rolls of dollars, but I don't know what mint they are from, because of the location fo the mint mark.

I have the same problem as karrlot I can get rolls of pres dollars from the bank but I cant tell the mint mark on them, granted I live in Delaware they are probably P's, but it would be nice to know.
I also have a question about when new coins get rolled by by companies like the one in Harrisburg PA do they roll all one mint mark in one roll or do they mix them up, and how do the people at the coin shop in my city know what mint marks are in those rolls that they sell, most of them are wrapped by that company in Harrisburg PA I forget whats its called.

The rolls are probably wrapped ll over the country, but the vast majority of the PAPER used to roll coins is made by F String & Son Harrisburg PA. String does NOT roll the cois though.
