I was doing a coin search when a link to a wensy auction popped up. Since I've never seen this auction site I did nothing and moved on.

Does anyone have good or bad experiences there?

just curious if it's worth my time creating an account

I used to buy coins on Yahoo's auction site when that was up and running. When that shut down, two of the sellers I dealt with moved to Wensy. I have an account there, but have never bought anything. It's free and all I get is a monthly update e-mail about the site.

It's small. I believe it is free to list and you only pay if and when the item sells. It's another one of those sites that really isn't an "auction" site. The "bid" price is just like a "buy it now" price. I tend to think of it like the bulletin board at the local supermarket - browse and see if there's something you like.

But of course, it's the sellers and not the site that really matters!!

Yet another venue with lots of listings but no bids...... The one coin I was interested in had a start price that was CDN Bid for the grade listed the only problem it was overgraded by at least 4 points

After reading the replies I decided to check out the site. Like most places it appears to have good/bad sellers and decent graders/over graders. I did notice hardly anything had a bid but the items that had a quite a few bidders appear to be the ones with a low opening price. I also noticed some seller names from ebay accounts also living on this site. I'm assuming they are the same sellers as they were shipping from the same areas.

What seems attractive is that there are no seller fees and they also provide free store fronts.

I just may open an account there.

Thanks again everyone
