Steve, I think it may have just been a server reboot which needs to be done occasionally. It lasted about a minute and a half and all is good now.

It is acting up again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
/forum/post_info.asp
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

This seems to happen randomly, but it is driving me nuts. Also, when it happens, my post does appear, but does not show that I have added to the thread.

Could you tell in which forum and topic were you trying to post?

Steve, I don't know what to tell you. The forum is getting almost 4,000 page views a day and have been no other complaints. It's like lightning for us. 99% of pages load in less than a half second. Maybe there's a bad router in your area?

This forum is running in a shared server. Other server activities may be going on at any given moment (backups, someone else doing a high load server activity). So, I cannot guarantee that an occasional timeout won't occur. From my own personal experience, I haven't faced it much. If a timeout occurs, please wait just a little bit and try again. I'm certain that unless something heavy is going on (and backup is the heaviest activity that goes on the server), the forum will be back to normal speed very quickly.

Thank you for your concern. The forum is running on a computer and computers have problems, sometimes. If it was an isolated situation, then I'd say it's something that we should face as "part of the business".
Regards
Rui
