I figured it was .000001 chance that it was a DDO - I figure it never hurts to ask the members. Looks good in hand too - seeing the doubling.

Quote: Looks super cool to me Quote: Looks good in hand too - seeing the doubling. Those are the reasons that otherwise worthless MD, cracks, chips, etc. are not without value when extreme. Your coin is approaching that threshold. Nice find, but in my opinion spendable.

Yeah, I know. I have seen at least 3 different types of bad doubling on quarters, trying to figure out what to look for on these new quarters. Like on the cents they looked like they got smooched in the machine (easier to see stuff like that) many of the quarters have the problem on the obverse with Grease Filled Dies and worn dies with starburst lines.

I don't know CC, I'm not really a quarter guy. I do know the Homestead's have a lot of DD's in the center of the reverse. I did accidently find a kisatchie 2015 quarter today. Big bird has an extra claw. I'll be posting it before too long.

Thanks for the link, that was really handy. Yes, I believe I do. I'll have to recheck the coin, looks like there may be other stuff on it too.

CM - glad I was able to help out for a change. These are infamous for severe worn die issues - sometimes so bad to the point where there are just the star-burst lines instead of the devices - I think they are really cool looking that way.
