Another great discussion with my favorite posters. Many valid points of view raised. I some new releases on the Canada Day coin show. The concave basketball coin looked nice, however, not nice enough for the price. I do like the 13 coin Canada 150th anniversary set. I will order a set for a keep sake, the box is fantastic. I do have the other sets, purchased off
ebay, since I started collecting in 2012 canada day coin show. I took a break since Mar. I'm saving money for the coins that will celebrate the 150th anniversary. My kid eats $300 a month in groceries and has nothing to show for it. I will spend less monthly on on coins and will have them to pass down to his kids.
Its all a matter of perspective, he spent $18 on pie making ingredients yesterday, and today the pie plate is empty. He loves cooking and food!! I see it as a neccesity and would rather do it as cheaply as possible. So 2 different people and 2 seperate approaches to living. I believe coin collecting is much the same adventure. However, we should be aware who has the best prices, so more bang for the buck.
