Here is my 1839 "Booby Head" Large Cent. What do you guys think the Newcomb number and grade is?

I would venture VG-10. What's the story on the light/dark color arc on the obverse?

Oh that's just the way the lighting is in the picture. Part of the obverse was shadowed.
