Regular readers of the CCF will recognize my appreciation for honestly circulated coins ... and pocket pieces top my list of favorite numismatic items.
I'm a lowball collector at heart ... despite my various MS sets.

It's simply about the story the lowball coin could tell ... who carried it and why?
To my great pleasure I have acquired a pocket piece HK-409 Montana Fund medal. It adds to my collection of the medals issued for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition ... that series encompasses HK-399 through HK-425 in the standard reference by Hibler-Kappen.

Someone carried this for a very long time ... I suppose NGC would judge in the AG03/G04 range ...
Amazing ... I wonder what stories it could tell?
