I want you to "value" my coin more than evaluate it !! (and/or BOTH !), thanks.

I keep dreaming I find a metallurgist/alchemist to fix this.

I'll say $75-100.

It's nice to have dreams, mine passed on long ago.

Thanks, half....remember, "Ruby Tuesday" (Rolling Stones)...."...lose your dreams and you will lose your mind..."

My benchmarks change...I wanted to be a rock star (still trying, really secretly). Then, after going through 28 rolls of machine-rolled, BU 1972 cents and not finding ONE single variety or error, my new dreamsession is to find error and variety coins in coffee shop tip cups. You should see the look when I ask if I can buy their tips.

You see; I'm an OG (Old Guy)...51 years old....and me dad, he said, when he was 87, "Jim, u aint old and the first 100 years are practice anyway....relax."

Remember, "Imagine" (John Lennon)...."...You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...."

A bit too much glare, but from what I see, it's AU details, harshly cleaned, and countermarked twice.

Do you mean the loop that is soldered on the top? If so I bet that it could be fixed rather easily. Gold has a fairly high melting point, a small propane torch would melt that solder way before it did any damage to the coin... And honestly, its not like you can devalue the coin much more then it already is...

I thought about that, Morgan -- paying to have the loop removed. I wondered, if after paying that expense, what the cost-efficiency value of the coin would be afterwards. Also, I dont know if that's solder or not.

The only way to fix-it is to make it into a ring!
